I have only been here twice but both times were good experiences and my mani/pedis lasted an average time.  My most recent experience was me calling them asking for a mani/pedi the day before my wedding just a couple of hours in advance and they fit me in.  I was planning to go to another salon that was not able to accomodate pushing my appt back a few minutes.   This place not only fit me in before they were set to close, they did an immaculate job- my nails were perfect.  They lasted into the honeymoon which was long enough.

The atmosphere is not great. but it is ok.  I really dislike the little tub things for pedicures and also dislike the dividers as this is not great for a girls afternoon.

But for the price the quality was there and met my expectations.  I would go back.

I really enjoy having lunch at Roti.  The food is great and definitely is a nice option to have to break out from the standard loop lunch fare.  It definitely is a busy place so finding a table can be a challenge at peak times but it is clean and the line moves quickly.  I tend to get the Chicken Roti Sandwich often as it is really good and I love that you can select from options for the toppings.  The price is a bit higher here.  But it is definitely worth checking out for a tasty lunch.

For my wedding reception I needed to have a very simple Jcrew silk dress hemmed and thought that this would be a place easy to work with to have it done... I did not want to pay "bridal prices" for this second dress.  

Well right away she noticed it was a wedding dress and tried to sell me on having beading added or a sash... she pushed to the point where when I said no she replied "Well it just won't be pretty" and dismissed me.  Rude!  I am not asking for style advise.  

I would have dismissed this if the hem would have been quality work but when I got the dress home the hem was severly crooked.  There was over an inch extra in the front of the dress.  And the additional liner that she would not take no for an anwer on was very poor quality to heavy of a fabric for the intended flowiness of the dress.  So after poor customer service, very poor quality of work, and extremely high prices on what should have been a simple hem I wish I could give them only a half a star.

I will never go back and would not recommend them.

This is a Small, Independent grocery store.  It is not a large chain, corporate backed grocery store... so do not have the expectation that you will save money.  However, in my experience the pricing is not that greatly different for the convenience.  

Do go here when you don't have an ingredient for what you are cooking, chips/salsa, or a bottle of wine etc.  This is a fantastic little neighborhood spot where you can grab a few groceries on your way home from work.  They do a great job of stocking staples and specialty items within a small space.  

We used to live just down the street and this place was incredibly handy to have nearby.  We could walk over and tie our dogs onto the bike rack out front while we grabbed whatever we needed... without driving out to Jewel.  

I seriously wish that the West Loop had something close to Carnival.

I love Kiehls products and it is really handy to have a store so that I don't have to venture to Saks or order and pay for shipping.  The people that work here are helpful and friendly.  I also love that I can bring my dogs in here... that always gives a store bonus points.  It is nice that they offer my dogs treats... but in the case of my wild dogs it just makes them crazier as they now know that they will get treats here so they put on show for the salespeople.  This store was a nice addition to the neighborhood.

I really can't stand to walk by this store or even close to it... the scent is overpowering.... and just, well too much.  For this reason I have only ventured inside once at the holidays for a gift.  I also find this place to be a bit overpriced- maybe bc of the novelty?  At any rate... I prefer to buy my soaps at a store that I can breathe without getting a headache.  But if you are not sensitive to powerful scents then maybe you will have more luck with this store...

We had a nice time here this past weekend.  The atmosphere is pretty good- we like that we can actually hear each other without having to yell over loud music.  We decided to stick with the rolls and they were quite tasty.  The presentation was creative.  The service was also really pretty good- not hovering but not MIA either.  Overall we enjoyed having dinner here and would go back.

Having been frequent patrons of the Sam's on Marcy St we were excited to see one open in the South Loop... especially with free parking.  We were a little dissappointed with the execution of this location.  There doesn't seem to be nearly as many wines as the Marcy St Sam's and they are not as logically organized.  The liquor also does not have as many of the options that were at their other store and are poorly marked... being short I had a hard time seeing the signs that are up and behind the top row for each self so wasn't able to locate things quite a quick as I would have liked.  

They do have a nice atmosphere and really a wide selection... but this does depend on what you are comparing them to as it is not as expansive as their other location.  I was also disappointed that they didn't have lemons which I need for the drinks I was making... thus requiring a second stop at Jewel.

It is a nice addition to the neighborhood and while I will go back, I wouldn't give it 5 stars.

This place is too cute.  I love it for not be shy to be all girly.  The hot chocolate is seriously fantastic.  As most places in this area- probably will be busy on a Saturday afternoon.  But a Monday evening will allow you to be able to not have to jocky for a seat... so you can relax, enjoy your chocolate and chic chat.

Yum, I do love chocolate.  This place has a more simple take on sweet treats and includes many of the basics.  It is not the fanciest of places to go for a chocolate treat but is an experience all on its own.  My dad loves the chocolate covered cherries and my mom loves the toodles; when I am headed to visit my parent's they put in an order for me bring from this place.
